Information you provide
To create an account we process your email address, alias and password, which is stored as a hash. If you choose Google, we receive the identity information it provides for authentication, such as your account identifier, name, email and, where available, profile image. We do not receive your Google password. If you apply for a professional profile, we process the contact details, location, presentation, services, images and admission answers you submit. We also process your enquiries and information you choose to add to your account. To manage companion animals and sessions, we process their species and the profile details you provide, the selected professional and service, booking dates and statuses, and session reports. We also record payment amounts and statuses, payment-provider references and in-person payment records entered by the professional. Do not include unnecessary information about other people in free-text fields.
Purposes and legal bases
We manage registration, authentication and the features you request to perform our service relationship or take steps before it (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We review professional applications to process publication within that relationship. We comply with applicable legal duties, including tax duties where relevant (Article 6(1)(c)). To protect the portal, prevent misuse and diagnose incidents, we process technical data based on our legitimate interest in service security (Article 6(1)(f)). External maps are activated only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw without losing access to the professional listings.
Public information and required fields
An approved professional profile may publicly display your presentation, images, services, service area and the contact details intended for that profile. Review what you share and avoid including other people’s data without a valid basis. Admission answers are used to review the application and do not form part of the public profile by default. Fields marked as required are needed for the requested feature. Without them, we may be unable to create an account or process an application. Optional fields can be left empty.
Companion animals, reports and follow-up
When you book, the professional receives the companion animal information needed to provide the service and can consult the history of your professional relationship. Session reports distinguish a private section for the professional and a shared section available in your companion animal’s profile. The private section is not shown in your dashboard or published. Professional follow-up notes are not published either. Authorized platform staff may access information where needed to manage the service or resolve an incident. Reports are not veterinary medical records and are not automatically shared with other professionals.
Browsing and your session
When you connect, the systems serving the website may record your IP address, time, requested resource and technical browser details to fulfil the request and maintain security. Your session remains in your browser’s local storage until you sign out, clear the data or access is revoked. Sign out when you finish using a shared device. The cookie policy explains identifiers and retention periods.
Who can access information
Authorised team members can access information needed to run the portal and review applications. Hosting, maintenance and email providers support the service; the project’s email is handled through IONOS. Information may be disclosed to authorities where legally required. If you use a paid subscription, Stripe handles payment and billing. Full card details are entered in the payment provider’s environment, not in Espacio Argos forms. When you contact a professional directly, that professional processes the information you send under their own responsibilities. For session payments by link, Stripe Connect manages the professional’s payment account. The professional and Espacio Argos receive the references and statuses needed to identify and reconcile the payment; the platform does not provide them with your full card number. We send service communications about requests, changes, cancellations and payment links. These communications do not authorize advertising messages.
Google Maps and international transfers
With your permission, Google maps and address search receive technical information such as your IP and browser details, together with the searches or locations you use on the map. Google sign-in also involves communicating with that provider when you request it. Google and Stripe may process information outside the European Economic Area under their policies and the transfer mechanisms they describe, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where applicable. Links to their policies are below. You can ask the portal’s contact address about the providers and safeguards applicable to your processing.
How long we keep information
Account information is retained while necessary for the service relationship. Professional applications are kept while being processed and as needed to address related issues or liabilities. Enquiries are kept until resolved and, where applicable, throughout relevant liability periods. After an erasure request, data required for legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims may be retained with restricted access until those periods expire. Security logs and backups are kept according to their technical purpose and must not be used for incompatible purposes.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability where applicable by emailing the contact address. Specify the right you wish to exercise and the account concerned. If there is reasonable doubt about your identity, we will request only the information necessary to verify it. You can withdraw map consent through Cookie settings without affecting processing before withdrawal. We will respond within the usual one-month period; if an extension is necessary under the GDPR, we will explain the reason and timeframe.
Decisions and changes
Professional admission involves review by the team. Approval of a profile for publication is not based on a solely automated decision. If the purposes or services affecting your data change, we will update this information and request fresh consent where needed.
Reviews and public content
If you publish a review of a completed session, its text, rating and displayed author name will be visible on the professional’s profile. Avoid contact details, private information about others and unnecessary session details. The professional may respond, and the team may review reported content under the platform’s terms.
